MA Bible Translation
This degree is for those who are currently involved in Bible translation or who are preparing for such work. It is a two year degree which is done by distance learning. There are three modules followed by a dissertation. Two years of either Biblical Hebrew or Biblical Greek are prerequisites (to satisfy this deficiency, study of Hebrew or Greek may be completed in the Department of Classical and Near Eastern Studies, contact Prof Miller-Naudé for more information). Students may concentrate on either Old Testament translation or New Testament translation, or they may elect to study the translation of both Old Testament and New Testament.

MA Bible Translation Management
This programme was developed in partnership with SIL International especially for language programme managers serving with SIL in Africa and around the world, but is not restricted to students who are connected to SIL. The degree consists of three modules followed by a dissertation. The programme is a distance programme, except for a required two week visit to the university at the beginning of the management module for contact sessions.

PhD Bible Translation
The PhD in Bible Translation takes a minimum of two academic years (four semesters) to complete. It is a research degree which can be completed by distance and consists in the writing of a research thesis.
